The following is a brief overview of the most pressing issues I feel directly affect Hamilton Country residents.
As your new Hamilton County Commissioner, I will work diligently to:
- Hold the line on taxes by building the tax base through well-planned economic development;
- Encourage and facilitate measured growth and economic development that will benefit our communities and citizens;
- Develop solutions to alleviate congestion by expanding relationships with regional transportation authorities, increasing the use of roundabouts, and examining the feasibility of light rail;

- Work to increase park/green space; clean-up the White River and utilize as an asset;
- Embrace a "go green" governmental policy by recycling and reducing waste... examples include turning off excess lights in county facilities and using low energy fluorescent bulbs;
- Assist in improving and implementing "clean air" (smoke free) environment in Hamilton Country's businesses and restaurants. A recent clean air study by the American Lung Association gave Hamilton country a "C" grade!
